Spring Recognition: Growing Strong Families

Welcome to...

Activity Day Recognition Night:

Growing Strong Families

On this special evening in the park,
we celebrated the accomplishments of
our amazing Activity Day girls!

In fact,
the girls ran the show,
conducting, leading the music,
saying the opening and closing prayers..
and they did a wonderful job!

To kick-off our program,
Sis. Redmond shared how many of the activities,
including
preparing for the temple,
baking bread,
and sewing bean bags for the nursery,
helped the girls to strengthen their families and
prepare for their future families.

To build upon this,
each girls family worked together as a team
to complete a number of fun relay's,
and needless to say,
there was a lot of running around
and tons of laughter!

I promised the kids in Pimary
that the winning team would have
the biggest trophy
I could find!

Sure enough,
I found a 4-incher in the dollar section of Target!

To make up for the admittedly puny trophy,
I attempted to make a trophy from scratch...
out of Rice Krispy Treats!

It was a flop-literally,
but every morsel was eaten up in the end...

Gathering the team names!

And we're off!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

The imfamous "Hoola-Hoop" contest for dads...

not a pretty sight.

But very funny...

A classic:  The Egg Toss

The Grand Finale:

Tug-o-war!

And last, but not least,
the good ol' tie-breaker!

...

The grand champions of the whole she-bang?

The Womeldorfs!

Congratulations to ALL of our Activity Day girls!

They are beautiful girls full of
energy, happiness,and faith.

Truly,
they are an example to us all.

And thanks to them,
we enjoyed some delicious treats!

...

And finally,
a note of thanks to our wonderful Activity Day Leaders!

Sis. Redmond, Sis. Groff, Sis. Davis, & Sis. McGavock:

THANK YOU!

You are great examples to these girls!

...
